I am using Kendall oil.
Very well known in the US.
http://www.kendall.nl/
If you ask nicely they will also do a complete test in their laboratory of your old oil, so you know in what condition your engine is in.
This is not just an oilshop, they are specialists, also in racing.
This is the direct email-address if you need more information.
You can say you got it from me (Harry Hoving)

I have no idea , but most (real) registered users are owners as far as I can tell.
The forum is a bit slow, but the posts are of high quality I think. |

Hello,
See, that i am the 33th registered member here. I waited especially for the number 33, because it is a very magical number in the Alfa Romeo history.
But now more serious, i drive for about 35 years Alfa Romeo and i own for almost 5 years an SZ and i'm very happy with this car. I hope to post a lot of time here. |

Thanks, very early indeed: chassisnumber 003... And, off course with the Italian way of manfacturing things ; it has productionnumber 044??
Similar numbering had made a lot more sense to me...
And no I'm still smiling; today I did some minor jobs on the car. Most maintenance; oil change, new filters etc, fresh brake fluid. Car's underside looks still very good, no rust or other damage!
Also visited my local garage to make an appointment for apk/mot this afternoon.
Mechanic wasn't very busy so he did the check at once> fresh apk!
Best regards,fRank _________________ SZ No. 044 |

Driving the sz for a few days now,a thing started to annoy me.
The mounting point of the safety belt on the B pillar is a little to high for me.
The belt irritates the side of my neck, and with the Centennial trip ahead ,time for action.
I lowered the mounting point by fixing a metal plate.

Great idea!
I don't have that problem though.
Please give us some nice stories about the centennial when you are back! I decided to go to the Mille Miglia and Villa d'Este instead.
I just can't do all events sadly. |

Hi Harry,
We're back! We did about 2400 km without any real troubles!! Nice driving through the different passes , the cornering is excellent! A few times the front bumper hit the tarmac while steering in...
I only wrecked one window switch , as I understand they are similar to the Fiat tipo series?
Also the airco is not fully compitative to the Italian temperatures, so most of the time we drove with the windows down, creating a so called 'sjonnie arm'... (the catalic converter creates a serious amount of heat by the way, the complete driveshaft tunnel was hot! )
Even in Italy the SZ is something special as we discovered; oncoming cars start flashing lights and thumbs come out of the window!
An overtaking Ducati looses speed to take a good look at the car, then a big thumb up and broooaap of he goes, fun!
While entering the public parking of the Museo Storico I was ordered to park 044 in front of the entrance, next to other beauties...
On our way back in Suisse an overtaking german vw transporter drove aside for a few minutes to figure out what the f... he was passing by.
As I read the Centennial event itself is allready fully spoken on other forums so I don't have to point out the details...
My only wish now for the SZ is a nice 100 horsepower extra (or loose 300 kg)
