FOR SALE – ALFA ROMEO SPRINT ZAGATO

• Alfa Romeo Sprint Zagato of which only 1036 were built
• Still in original Left Hand Drive specification
• Built in 1991 and in near perfect condition, as good as a regular driver can be really, without being concours condition
• Absolutely no rust whatsoever
• Driven at least a few times every week
• 6,500 genuine km’s and purring like a hungry kitten. The rubbers on the brake and clutch pedal look like new, the original rear muffler still has a factory sticker on it….
• All new parts supplied by renowned SZ specialist Eduard van de Beek
• Aircon is like a freezer, even here in Dubai mid summer
• Everything works fine and car drives like a dream
• Wheels are like new, not a single scratch

Work completed recently - Brand new:
• SS exhaust system without cat, from downpipes to original rear muffler
• Toyo Proxes T1R tyres
• Mechanical belt tensioner
• Bosch battery
• Silent blocks front sway bar
• Windscreen wipers Bosch S48
• Door rubbers
• Spark plugs, filters and fluids

Modifications
• Fitted the highly recommended squadra corse chip – http://www.squadra-tuning.com/ for slightly better performance (still have the original chip)
• Red Line Water Wetter added to cooling system to keep engine temperatures down
• Matching grille installed in front of condenser aircon and oil cooler
• One way valve added to brake booster vacuum connection, to improve brake performance (which is fine by the way, contrary to all the BS you read on the internet)
• Fan rewired to remain activated with ignition off
• Plastic trim around rear glazing removed and replaced by top of the range marine/automotive grade window sealant “sikaflex” to ensure the car is water proof as opposed to the original trim which turns the car into a swiss cheese. Front windscreen to follow soon.
• 3M stone protection film fitted to headlights
• Black floor mat added to the boot

Car comes with
• Spare parts – most internal switches, speedo and rev counter, clutch master cylinder, boots for rear drive shafts, other bits and pieces.
• Alfa SZ car cover in brand new bag
• Alfa SZ original parts book
• Alfa SZ workshop manual - PDF and hardcopy
• Alfa SZ glove box booklets (brand new)

Car is complete apart from the following
• No spare wheel (can be purchased in NL)
• No leather bag for spare wheel (can be purchased in NL)
• No original tools other than wheel spanner and spark plug spanner
• No first owner certificate
• No leather wallet holding the 2 small booklets in the glove box

Car was recently featured in
• Car Middle East in Dubai

• The National Newspaper in Dubai

Minor imperfections yet to be sorted by new owner. I believe in honesty so have listed what I consider requires attention.
• Gasket of rear diff “sweats” a bit and drops a wee drop of oil every week?
• Front face of dashboard (where it meets the glass) has curled up a bit due to excessive heat. Dash needs to be removed and it then should be an easy fix.
• The front windscreen still has the bad original plastic trim and I certainly would replace this with Sikaflex, to avoid water entering the car. On top of that, the flush finish of the sikaflex looks much better too.
• Since the car had not been used for years before I purchased it, kids had put some scratches on the paint work. Consequently the bumpers, bonnet, roof, spoiler, sills and top of the rear quarter panels were repainted, using the original colour. The original paint has faded a fraction overtime though so there is a slight difference in colour.
• The original speedo is playing up because of the car being parked for too long – trip meter not working and needle dancing (and not accurate). New speedo comes with the car though.
