Hello,
I'd like to ask some advice to those people who sometimes use their SZ/RZ for a holiday.
I'm thinking of making a roadtrip to Italy with the SZ.
In the boot I found the original spare wheel, but it's 20years old.
What would you do?
Replace the tire, use a 156/147 spare, or leave any spare wheel home and take a repair kit.
A repair kit got the advantage it creates some extra boot space that could be used for some luggage. the less lugage in the passenger compartment, the better I'd say.
Regards

I've taken my spare wheel out and replaced with a repair kit. That spare wheel is next to useless anyway being so small and as you say now so old... |

That it is old, won't be a problem I think. Just make sure it has enough pressure. You have to drive slowly anyway and get the car to a tyre-shop or something.
Biggest problem for me is that a real wheel won't fit in the boot, so when you have a flat tyre you will have to take it with you in the car. On the lap of your girlfriend for example if you take a lot of luggage
I just hope I don't get a flat tyre, but maybe I will buy a small repair-kit also. But I am taking the spare wheel with me too.
I am going to the Mille Miglia with the SZ next month! |
