Occasionally my suspension light comes on and stays on but the suspension is down. Also the brake warning indicator is on...but I'm assuming this is low fluid, haven't checked yet
Any ideas about the suspension light before I go chasing for dodgy earths and loose wires?

I shouldn't worry about it.... mine has done it many times over the years and I just give the button a press and all is fine...
Don't think there is a light for low fluid... but the original pads had wear indicators...

In that case they'll probably just need cleaning...car only has 10k miles on it so the pads should have plenty of meat left

If you ever fancy more feel and braking performance (without spending a fortune) then the Ferodo DS2500 pads are excellant.
Also on Ed's site there is an interesting low cost braking modification which I have heard works well, though I have not done it to my SZ...

The pipe modification...yes, I've done that. Can't say I noticed a massive difference but the brakes are fairly good.

There is a difference...but it's not a revelation
I found the pedal to be firmer and inspired little more confidence. I *think* the old valve must allow some pressure loss or something, so replacing it isn't a bad idea imho

The suspension light is no problem it's a feature!
I have that too. Just press the green button again and it's fine.
Most important thing with brakes is the fluid. Normal fluid has to be changed every 2 years. Racing fluid every year. So I use normal fluid. (less hygroscopic) |
