I'm a new owner of Alfa SZ, purchased just 2 weeks ago, and now I have a problem, the original ECU was changed by the previous owner with one from the Alfa 164, so I'm looking for a original Bosch Motronic ML4.1 ECU code 0.261.200.141. Hope someone could help me. Thanks! |

It's nearly the same as the Alfa 75 3.0 V6 QV motronic.
With the SZ squarda chip this will work fine. I have one in my SZ and kept the original ECU clean.
Sometimes you can find it on E-bay and if you want I can ask around.. _________________ SZ: #150 |

Found one,
The seller lives in the Netherland but far away from mee so I can't see it.
I did buy mine also from him for the same price.
He wants 150 Euro's ex shipping costs.
Sometimes you can find one for less on Ebay, but they are getting less and less easy to find. If you want I can bring you in contact with him for adres notitions.
Rogor
I advise you the order the squadra chip as well. With the correct ECU and the squadra chip your engine will run as smoothly as butter. _________________ SZ: #150 |

Hello, Rogor
Thank you so much!!!!
How can I contact the seller? The 150 Euro is OK considering how difficult is to find it, I have an account on eBay and usually paying with PayPal.
p.s: once I get the ECU, I'll order the Squara chip ASAP, Thank You again!!! |

I have reserved the ECU for you.
By PM I'll send you his e-mail (as soon as I get it) so the two of you can work everything out. If Paypal is a problem I'm willing to pay in advance.
Rogor.
BTW:
Welcome on this SZ board of Harry Hoving.

The seller email me he was ill and if you could wait a cople of days.
He doesn't accept Paypal. Do you have any other means?
You can use the PB button under my name to send me your adress and e-mail so I can connect you with the seller.
I'll send my e-mail to you by PB.
Rogor
I understand you also don't have a certificat for the car? _________________ SZ: #150 |

Extra info for the needed:
The Alfa 75 3.0 QV ECU+ Squadra chip = the original ECU + Squadra chip
will give excacly the same horsepower, because the basic ECU is the same and the chip is specialy made for the SZ.
You remove the 75QV chip for the squadra SZ chip. Then you have approx 225 hp. But better so the engine will run much smoother.
You can read all about it on the website of squadra.
Yet, best is to contact Stephan (the owner) and explain him your environment conditions like:
-temperature
-height (for pressure)
-humidity
I'm sure he is willing to give you good advice.
As you could read I drove last weekend to Tirol (+2000 meters) and the engine runs very.....very good.

I think the number is also found on the inside of the fuel tankcap (or was that the chassisnumber). _________________ SZ: #150 |

|
|
Hello Roy and 156r,
on the first SZ's the last three or four numbers of the chassisnumber were stamped in the tanklid behind the spring. I do not know if later cars have this number stamped also.
The build or assembly number on the (pure) silver plaque does not have any direct linkage to the chassisnumber. According to my information the chassis were made in batches and the assembly was more or less random (first in line in the warehouse ??).
The build number on the plaque is the only reference to it on the car. It is also on the original testcertificate and the partsbook. This might be a way to find the buildnumber.
If you know the original owner you might try to contact him or her and get the information.
Greets,
Robin |

I 'm still looking for you and accept from the Belgium Company which chargeg 600 Euro for a used example I might have an other solution.
Your own 164 Motronic might do the trick. Some guys in the Netherland use a 164 Motronic with a SQUADRA chip to run their 75 QV's.
164 12V Kat:
Type injectiesysteem: Bosch Motronic ML4.1
Bosch Motronic 0261 200 117 12V .
Type EPROM: DIL28 27C256
Installationmanual A
SZ and 75 QV:
Type injectiesysteem: Bosch Motronic ML4.1
Bosch Motronic ML4.1 ECU code 0.261.200.141
Type EPROM: 27C256
If you indeed have this 164 12V Motronic (check the code) It's worth a try because most of the SZ oweners have a SQUADRA chip.
If its does't work you always can use the SQUADRA chip in a 75QV Motronic.
If you don't, let me know because I have one here.
Please let me know. _________________ SZ: #150 |

I don't have a Squadra chip in my SZ.
Why should I buy one? |
