I have 5 year old Pirelli PZero Corsas on the car at the mo and plan on putting some new rubber on the car soon so will watch this thread with interest.
What are the front and rear sizes again? |

Mmm...already got Neros on the rear and they feel very hard and not very grippy. Perhaps they're old though?

I use Uniroyal Rainsport2 on the 18 inch Azevs. Very nice tire; silent, massive grip in both dry and wet condition. Give much feedback and confidence, no track experience so far btw.
On the original rims I have Dunlop Sp9000 (?). Also a very good tire but seems a bit noisier and (most likely because of the bigger tire height in relation to the 18's) an little fuzzier cornering.

I had the original Rainsports on my old 155 V6 but found it understeered...but they were progressive.

Well that's mostly what wrong wheel driven cars do...
Serious: maybe the 'roll' of the tire caused by the height made it feel that way?
On the Azev rims I have 215/35/18 in front, I don't know what tyre size you had on the 155?

Tyre size was 205/45/16 so there was a little roll, very much like the SZ really.
I think it was more to do with it being a slightly older car than my daily driver at the time, which I could throw into corners faster.
Still, they were pretty good tyres otherwise.....had them on our 916 Spider too.

Yes, let us know!
I had those tyres on my BMW 325i once.
After one trackday in the summer, the rubber had melted more than I had hoped for. But that was serious track driving for a whole day. On the road they will be very fine I think. |

So far I've only driven it 5 miles back from the garage and had to be careful to ensure the release agent was worn off.
But they felt very nice....they'll be getting a proper test next time I'm out!

Done a bit more driving since March and can confirm they grip very well, even in the wet
Mind you, anything's an improvement over the previous Pirelli tyres which were apparently dated 1992 (not the originals though)!!!
