After about one and a half year of 'SZ inactivity' I took my #044 out of it's carcoon this week.
Plan is to drive it as a second/thirth car this spring and summer besides my daily 159 TI sportswagon and a spider series4 (my girlfriends summer ride)
I own the 159 since last August and when I first hand washed this car on a saturday afternoon I kind of discovered some familiar looking lines in the body...
Looked to me as if the SZ had been modelling for the first, rough, design of the 159...
Sounds silly I know, but see my (crappy phone ) pictures from last week when I parked those 2 cars along side...
The shape of the front, the curve of the hood, the upgoing line in the side all the way to the back, giving the car it's 'muscular shoulders', even the angle of the frontscreen vs the hood seems very equal.
Also the shape of the front wheel arch and (difficult to see) it's curve around the rim has some smilarity.
Besides that I think that the seem in the SZ's bodysuit is in the same place as where the 159 has it's gaps between front fenders and hood. (no picture though)
What about this? Am I kind of insane or do you guys agree with me?
Best regards,fRank _________________ SZ No. 044 |
