Odd one...both reverse light bulbs were removed from my car, is there a reason for this, do they have a habit of overheating and melting?
I've replaced them with no problem so far...

Never had a problem with mine..... 4 years on and all still OK
Sounds a bit like those people who take all the lightbulbs with them when they move house! |

Maybe they were removed because of a temporary failure in the switch? (constant burning reverse lamps while driving forward looks a bit stupid.. )
I've once had a similar problem with another make car; in serious hot conditions (summer, after a long trip) the reverse lights stayed 'on' even after several attempts shifting the gearbox in and out of reverse.
The problem solved itself once the car had cooled down a bit.
