27/02/15
- A slightly unusual start to the 2015 season...I bought a garage
for my other SZ! The case is really great quality and the perfect
building to protect my favourite SZ model. If you're plannning to
buy a Dave Clarke Designs
SZ, yours will be slightly different because he's changed the sideskirt
design.
07/03/15 - I finally got around to erecting and installing the Carcoon.
The company had been very helpful after my dog chewed the Carcoon
in it's box during a really bad storm. Anyway, thanks to their generousity
I now have a fully airtight Carcoon with no teethmarks!!! Here it
is undeneath my 155 Q4 and suspended from the underside of the four
post ramp in my garage....yes, the Q4 is on blocks of wood! you
can see more HERE.
07/03/15 - Before
putting the SZ in it's plastic bubble I fitted some "Scotchgard"
(their spelling) to the rear of the inner arches. They had all suffered
from stone chips and after a bit of paint I wanted to keep them
looking good. you can read more HERE.
07/03/15 - I
also looked at the annoying glovebox which drops down occassionally,
you can see (a little) more HERE.
I also found a funny little switch which serves no apparent purpose,
if you have any ideas please post HERE.
26/04/15 - Finally...the
first Italian event of the year. Organised by the Alfa
Romeo Owners Club UK, their spring Alfa Day event was held at
RAF Duxford...my
car was covered in bird crap after an overnight stay at a hotel
and no way to wash it (no, I'm not using a petrol station car wash!).
The picture below was taken by ace photographer Guy
Swarbrick.
21/06/15 - National Alfa Day at Gawsworth Hall.
I was judging the Concours so didn't have time to take any pictures,
the image below was taken by Mike Scarf.
28/06/15 - Summertime
Classics at Stanford Hall - jut a week after the AROC National Day
came Auto Italia's Summertime Classics event at Stanford Hall. Here's
my car by the AROC tent, the house can be seen in the background.
